In absence of higher education facility in this tribal and rural area, our NAVCHETAN TRUST took initiative and established ‘Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila Arts College, in Valia (Dist. Bharuch) in 1994
The college is a kind of boon for those families who are from interior villages, whose first generation is getting chance to enhance themselves with the world.
Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila college, Valia turns out a kind of bridge for surrounded tribal & rural block to connect with the global world.
This is the only Women’s College in Bharuch District and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, in Tribal belt of Eastern Gujarat Region which imparts higher education to tribal girls with the hostel facilities.
To cater quality education to women in general and particularly Scheduled Tribe.
Nearly 95% girls are S.T. from the interior part of our catchments areas are taking benefit of Education from this pious institution.
Every year, 1500 students are taking benefit of education of Graduation & Post Graduation from our institution.
Our college’s goal is “Enlighten to Excel”, makes possible endeavours to impart quality and skill based education with a teamwork of 4D- Decision, Direction, Dedication & Discipline.
In spite of our limitations, we have been striving to contribute towards Nation Building through empowering women in whatever measure we can.
Our chief commitment to the cause of empowering women came to be reaffirmed only by our ceaseless efforts.
Our College results have always been higher than the average results of the University, as such, and securing University Gold Medal in different subjects consistently.
The vision thrusts upon not only education but instilling values and identifying talents to empower the students, enhancing employability and making them responsible citizens.
To accomplish this vision and to increase their employability, the institution keeping in mind the given class having wide range of interest and passion, offers choices to the students and choice provides the opportunity to exercise their potential for development within their domain. Choice of subjects provides a learning platform wherein the student or knowledge seeker has the flexibility to choose their subjects from a list of elective and core courses. The advantage of this system is a shift from teacher centric to student centric education. The student can choose according to their learning needs, interest and aptitude.
At the beginning of the year the Admission Committee for each class from under graduate to post graduate are formed. There is admission committees to guide the students. Each committee consists of teachers and administrative staff. The respective teachers guides students in making choice and administrative staff looks into the matter regarding filling up forms and fees.
The uniqueness of the institution is that we have implemented the practice of giving choice since many years even before CBCS was introduced by Veer Narmad South Gujarat university. SRNM offers six subjects for specialization in U.G. and three subjects for specialization in P.G. Apart from that institution also offers choices in elective subjects.
SRNM is the only women college in this region which offers six subjects for specialization & five core elective. Three Subjects for Master Degree..

SRNM runs certificate courses like Beauty parlour and Tailoring as our institution is Women oriented.
The college is the most preferred college among Gujarati Medium Students.
