The institutes of higher education, it is needless to say, have to play a pivotal role in the days to come, if we were to realize the dream of the former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam to metamorphose India into a developed country by ensuing years. Righty said by Nelson Mandela that education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world. Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.
In absence of higher education facility in this tribal and rural area, our NAVCHETAN TRUST took initiative and established ‘Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila Arts College, in Valia (Dist. Bharuch) in 1994. Institute is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, and, Grant-in-aid institute, recognized with UGC 2(f) & 12B certificates.
This is the only Women’s College in Bharuch District and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, in Tribal belt of Eastern Gujarat Region which imparts higher education to tribal girls with the hostel facilities. At present 500 girls are staying in our Hostel. Among this nearly 95% girls are S.T. from the interior part of our catchments areas. At present every year, 1500 students are taking benefit of education of Graduation & Post Graduation from our institution.
The maximum benefit of this college is taken by S.T. girls. It’s a joint efforts of the college Management and College Team to place this institution at modest position. The land area of our college building is 2.87 hectare, with a built up area of 28700 sq. Mts.
As our Higher Education Institute is located in tribal rural areas of agrarian society, we feel that, we have to continue to play a very significant role in molding the female psyche of our tradition bound society.
With the team efforts of the faculty and the administrative staff under the guidance of the Pathdarshk (Retd. Prin.) Shri Kesrisinhji Sayaniya, Managing Trustee & the Secretary of the Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila Arts College, the institute’s name will shine like Polar Star in the firmament of Higher Education.
Our college’s motto is “Enlighten to Excel”, makes possible endeavors to impart quality and skill based education with a teamwork of 4D- Decision, Direction, Dedication & Discipline. Our commitment to the cause of empowering women came to be reaffirmed.

In 2003, College got the permanent affiliation from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and then from Government of Gujarat in September 2003. Whereas, our college came in the list of UGC, under section 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act,1956 in September 2006. Got Self - finance English as Principal Subject in June-2005, Post-Graduate Center of Sanskrit in June-2008, Post-Graduate Center of Hindi in 2009, Post-Graduate Center of Economics in 2013 and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (Center for Distant Education) affiliation in 2021.
B.B.A., B.C.A., B.S.W., M.S.W. and PGDCA is running under the banner of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University successfully.
Our institute introduced certificate courses like Beauty parlor and Tailoring for our student’s interest and future development.
In 2009, The college is accredited with 'B' grade (2.31) in NAAC [National Assessment and Accreditation Council] and in addition to that our college got 'A’ grade in Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) in 2013 by KCG and Gujarat Government.

The Whole teaching and administrative staff is quite supportive, and always work for student's welfare with the immense support of In charge principal Dr. Sharmilaben Patel.
Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila Arts College is a place where highly knowledgeable faculties are always on tip toe to inspire students. 98% of the Faculties are having Ph. D Degree and many of them are having guideship of Ph.D. The College offers a very safe and secured environment with Close Circuit Cameras installed in all classrooms and at all important places and round the clock security.
Scholarship is one of the major venture, we are proffering to our reserved category students in accordance with Government that motivate them for higher aspirations. Many of the faculties are motivating poor students by paying their fees.
Our College results have always been higher than the average results of the University, as such, and securing University Gold Medal in different subjects consistently.
“Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching” is the motto of our institution.
In spite of our limitations, we have been striving to contribute towards Nation Building through empowering women in whatever measure we can.
Our aim is to strive for the realization of the ideal of making India a developed country by the ensuing years, as envisaged by our former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
Within a short span, college has left behind ‘footprints’ on the sands of time that will continue to inspire academicians and social reformers for years to come. Both in terms of the strength of students and quality education, the college reigns supreme in the galaxy of higher education, that too exclusively for women in general and particularly Scheduled Tribe.
We are determined to contribute, in, whatever measure we can, to the ‘YAGNA’ of making India a role model for the whole of the world.
The college is a kind of boon for those families who are from interior villages, whose first generation is getting chance to enhance themselves with the world. Shree Rang Navchetan Mahila college, Valia turns out a kind of bridge for surrounded tribal & rural block to connect with the global world.
